Methodik
Humanity Odds schätzt die Wahrscheinlichkeit, dass die Menschheit bis zum Jahr 2100 ausstirbt oder die Zivilisation unwiederbringlich zusammenbricht, getrennt für jedes Szenario.
- Baseline: Jedes reale Szenario startet mit veröffentlichten Expertenprognosen (Toby Ord, das Existential Risk Persuasion Tournament und Metaculus), kombiniert als geometrisches Mittel ihrer Odds.
- Nachrichtenschicht: Mehrmals täglich ordnet ein KI-Modell Meldungen Szenarien zu und bewertet ihre Relevanz; ein zweites, stärkeres Modell bewertet jede Geschichte als Ganzes nach Richtung und Schwere auf einer festen Skala. Ereignisse und Entscheidungen zählen voll, Meinungen und Spekulationen höchstens halb. Wiederholte Berichte über dieselbe Geschichte zählen einmal, ältere Meldungen verlieren mit einer Halbwertszeit an Gewicht.
- Grenzen: Nachrichten können die Odds eines Szenarios höchstens um den Faktor zwei verschieben, und die Tageswerte werden geglättet.
- Globaler Index: Die Szenarien werden kombiniert, als wären sie unabhängig.
Spekulative Szenarien beginnen mit einer redaktionellen Schätzung, weil es für sie keine veröffentlichten Prognosen gibt. Meldungen gelten als Signale, nicht als Beweise.
